  POSSIBLE LUGCO ACTIVITIES:

BYOL Build: Bring your own stash of portable LEGO and get to it. We all like to build, so why not do it in a group environment?

Community LEGO Pile: We create a stash of LUGCO LEGO. Pieces collected here and there for the sole purpose of being used during club activities.

Eat: As a group, go out to eat at a restaurant. Snack on foods during a meeting. Have a cookout at someone's house.

Buiding Challenge: Give everyone identical piles of parts. Decide on an obstacle or challenge and build something to overcome that obstacle or challege. i.e.: Build the strongest bridge that spans a one foot wide gap. Think Junkyard Wars.

Parts Draft: Buy a few boxes of one LEGO set (probably a set that's on sale). Divide out the individual parts into piles. Draw to see who goes first. One by one take a pile of parts until they're all gone. Everyone ends up with some parts they like instead of a set they think is dumb.

Public Display: We take it on the road. We set up displays of our models at libraries, malls etc. People would love it and it could help increase public awareness of the club as well as increase our membership.

Trade: Gather a selection of LEGO bits that you would like to trade with another member of the club for different LEGO bits.

The Wacky Build (so named until we come up with something better): One person starts a creation (say 10 pieces or so), then hands it off to another member who adds onto it (say another 10 pieces or so). This continues until we reach a designated end. Who knows what the final result will look like. With everyone having different interests it should be interesting.
